Chap Football Championship Send-Off

Texas 6A High School Football-Fans gathered along Camp Craft Road to joyfully send off the Westlake Chaparrals Football team to ATT Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the Texas 6A Division Championship Friday Morning December 20th 2024. The Chaps (14-1) will face North Crowley (15-0) Saturday December 21st 2024 at 7PM Central Time. Westlake High School established in 1968 has won a Texas State Football Championship previously in 1996, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The Eanes Superintendent, Dr. Jeff Arnett, Ed.D., joins in the send-off

The Coach Tony Salazar, one of the last to board a bus, gets a fist bump and loud cheers. The coach in his "19th year of coaching and his 9th year at WHS" and became head coach at WHS in January of 2022. (Westlakenation.com). This is Salazar's first State Championship game as head coach.
