
Texas Girls High School Basketball-The District 26-6A Undefeated Bowie Bulldogs braved Thunderstorms traveling to Westlake Tuesday evening but were greeted by a Chap team, also undefeated in district play, that put on a clinic fueled by competitiveness and skill. The Bulldogs, looking competitive as well and better than ever, fell behind at 4:47 in the first quarter but weathered a Chap run of 7-0 to end the quarter trailing only by 2, 11-13. After the brief intermission, the Chaps went on a 12-2 run in the second quarter going to the locker room up 25-13. The Chaps returned early to the floor for a shoot-around and compiled a 14-2 run to end the third quarter 39-14. With second and third line players and different combinations Westlake was outscored 4-8 in the final quarter to end at 43-24. #3 Gianna Angiolet let the Chaps with 16, followed by #12 Bella Hesse with 12 and #15 Tamia King with 11.
