Around Austin-The Austin Business Journal reports that in 2019 and 2020, the first year of the pandemic, "floods of wealth" moved out of major Northeast and West Coast urban centers to "fast-growing areas in the South and Southwest" including at #13 Williamson County and #14 Travis County, Texas. Using IRS tax filing aggregate data the ABJ calculated that a net 9,905 households moved into Williamson county bringing $970,000,000 in adjust gross income.
