Texas Girl's High School Basketball-Westlake Chaps' Tamia King, 13 points and 10 rebounds, scores first in the Chaps 66-44 win over visiting Austin. Austin played well early using good half-court person-on-person defense and classic pick and rolls to still be tied at 14 with 1:40 remaining, in the first quarter, but Gianna Angiolet, the scoring leader with 23, hit a three in the closing seconds to give the Chaps the lead for good. Score by Quarter 17-15, 32-24, 49-30, 66-44. Bella Hesse, another scoring leader, finished with 13. The Chaps took a long half-time break and noting the Maroon's weak shooting installed a two-three zone to stymie the Maroons to outscore them 17-6 in the third quarter.
