Thousands of dry-lightening strikes ignited hundreds of forest fires in California including Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties. The eerie reflection on the Monterey Bay is caused from all the ash in the air. Picture taken over the back of this famous statue near Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. The statue is a monument to boys who had life and play interupted by WWII.
