Texas High School Football-Visiting Texas #9 Atascocita Eagles blanked Texas #8 Westlake in the second half to win going away 39-21. It was Westlake's first Home Loss since 2018. Atascocita was simply bigger, faster and played almost error-free. Westlake missed tackles, struggled to gain on the ground, were intercepted several times, lost fumbles and missed a short field goal. Early in the fourth quarter and trailing 21-24, Westlake seemingly stopped Atascocita on third down but a fumble ensued with the tackle. Then Atascocita's #14 QB Cardae Mack retrieved the fumble on the run and quickly scampered for a TD. With the extra point the Eagles took a 31-21 lead (Image Above). Atascocita closed it out 39-21.
