Texas Girls High School Basketball-Westlake leading by 6 at the half expanded the lead to 15 in the second half to outgun Bowie 53-38. Bowie, a well-coached team, showed good athletic ability-fast feet, good spacing and great passing but Westlake didn't allow any fastbreaks and used a zone defense effectively without giving up defensive boards. Westlake shared the ball well on fastbreaks and also were quick to score off of their set-offense when the defense brokedown and after offensive boards. #11 Caroline Vetters, shown above, was impressive from three and battling on the boards.
