High School Football-Westlake Football, Westlake Hills, Texas, completed back-to-back-to-back Texas 6A Division II Championship at ATT Stadium, Arlington, Texas by outplaying GP-Denton De-Guyer from Denton, Texas in the second half after trailing at the end of the first half 13-14. The final score 40-21. Many highlights including a 53 yard field goal by Charlie Barnett putting Westlake up for good at 23-21 at 3:11 left in the third quarter, (The 53 yard field goal set a record for the Championship), 263 yards of receiving and four touchdowns by Jaden Greenhouse (Offense MVP for the Championship) and three sacks and four tackles by Colton Vasek (Defensive MVP for the Championship). De-Guyers got the ball first to start the game and when attempting to punt from deep in their own territory, the snap was fumbled and the punt was blocked and ran in for a Westlake TD by Will Magids for the opening 6-0 lead for Westlake. Cade Klubnik finished with 280 yards on 14 of 21 passing, four TDs and one uncharacterisitc interception early in the first half.
